The EU-Compass for Action on Mental Health and Wellbeing is a mechanism to collect, exchange and analyse information on policy and stakeholder activities in mental health. The Compass will disseminate information and provide support to participating Member States in the implementation of policy recommendations identified in the European Framework for Action.

The Compass will put in place a platform to monitor and analyse mental health and wellbeing policies and activities by Member States and non-governmental stakeholders, as well as identify and disseminate European good practices. In order to accomplish this, activity reports and updates have been collected from Member States and stakeholders and these will be included in the first annual report, which will be launched at the EU-Compass Forum in Luxembourg in October. The first two of the thematic position papers are also under way, and will be available for the Forum. In the autumn the focus will shift to organising multi-sectoral awareness-raising workshops in each EU country and Iceland and Norway, which will focus on promoting the value of investing in Europe’s mental capital.
